  1. Updates:
    Battery bank is so large that I added T Class fuses instead of marine grade circuit breakers.
    Grounding Conductors on panel are closer to each other. Having a separate grounding busbar and bonding the ground and the neutral at a single point would be ideal.

    This system is floating unless it is connected at the ac input to the grid. Then the ground is supplied by the ac input grounding conductor. The ac input and output are bonded in the inverter.

    And before you comment, keep in mind that this inverter is not UL listed, so it would never pass any inspection, anywhere in the united states. And it wouldn't have to because it is an offgrid system. Please watch the video above to learn more.

  6. Will, I found your video extremely interesting and learned a lot. I am hoping you can answer a question and make a recommendation.
    My friend has a camp upstate New York, primarily used during the hunting season. He has a generator for power (off grid). However, in the early winter when he hunts, if often gotta below freezing … Big problem for the water pipes and drains. So far, he had used heat tape … But that only works if you're running the generator.
    So the question … A sufficient setup too power 2 heat tapes … Maybe 3. Other than that, the generator can power everything else.
    What setup would you suggest using solar, an inverter etc to power just those heat tapes, you remove the possibility of freezing pipes.
    I would really appreciate your thoughts on addressing this. It is clear that you knowwhat you're working with, with the video you've made. Thanks so much for any and all guidance! Rick

  10. I HAVE A CODE 32 ON MY MPP LV6548…DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS…THE REMOTE DISPLAY HAD NO POWER SHOWING WHEN I FIRST TURNED IT ON. I TOOK THE REMOTE DISPLAY OFF AND PLUGGED IT BACK IN AND NOW IT LIGHTS UP, BUT SHOWS' CODE 32 ?..DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO

  11. Love your videos. Keep it up. Side Note: Permanent installations using SO cord violate the NEC. Could cause a problem with insurance. The work around is to hang a tag on the cord that is dated and says this is a 90 day temporary installation. Then, every 89 days, hang a new tag. Thanks for doing these. I learn so much.

  12. If I have the 48v system and wanted to use 50% of the battery to make them last longer. Is there a way to program the inverter to cut off when it batteries reach 50% ? Default setting for mpp solar inverter 5048gk (code 29) is 42 volt which is very low ??!! Or this low dc volt cut is something else like battery under load stress where voltage drop significantly . Anyone have an idea I will really appreciate it.
