📝 To build a 100W solar panel you need:
➥ 6×6 solar cells kit:
2mm tabbing wire (pre solder coated).
5mm tabbing wire (buss wire).
Solder Wire. (Used to tin the solder iron, also used to solder the tab cells on the buss wire).
Flux Pen. Prevents beading of the solder.
Strapping Tape (sure tape).
Regular tape.
(useful to hold the solar cells).
Sillicone Paste-like seal (UV christaline).
Untabbed Cells
Solar Panel Aluminium Frame
Clear Epoxy Resin 40 ounces / 1Kg. + Epoxy Hardener 2 Epoxy resin x 1 Hardener.
➥ Best to use Silicone Elastomer Sylgard 184
➥ 6 or 8 gauge AWG Solar Wire (10 gauge 30Amps, 8 gauge 40Amps, 6 gauge 55Amps)
➥ Solder Iron 60/80W
➥ Multimeter. (Volts and Amps).
➥ 20 Amps PWM Charge controller
➥ 300/600W DC/AC Inverter
➥ 12V 48Ah Depp Cycle Battery
12V 90Ah Depp Cycle Battery
12V 120Ah Depp Cycle Battery

✦ Polycrystalline Solar Cells
+ The process used to make polycrystalline silicon is simpler and cost less.
+ Polycrystalline solar panels tend to have slightly lower heat tolerance than monocrystalline solar panels.
– The efficiency of polycrystalline-based solar panels is 14-16%.
– Lower space-efficiency. You need to cover more surface to output the same electrical power as Monocrystalline cells.

✦ Monocrystalline Solar Cells
+ Monocrystalline solar cells have the highest efficiency rates.
+ Monocrystalline silicon solar cells are space-efficient.
+ Monocrystalline cells have a long lifespan.
+ Monocrystalline solar panels tend to be more efficient in warm weather.
– Monocrystalline solar panels are the most expensive.

  2. I'd like to know how to figure out how many W my pannel will produce based on the power and number of power cells. Like, what is the formula, how does it work?

  3. This makes no sense, for like $85 you can get one done and ready to plug in.

  4. Note: You don't need to drag the panel outdoors into the sun, any lights emit low levels of radiation, so they'll do for testing if you have a short. And yes, of course LED strips work.

  5. you are using resin which yellows from uv light. These panels are gonna be producing less than 100 watts in a year or two.

  7. So a lot of people are saying how this isn't cheaper, howsoever when it comes to cheaper solar panels, the companies have what is essentially a lease. This is to say, you don't own the solar panel on your roof if it comes from many of the deals that make them cheap, and (i could be wrong about this part) but you also can't store the energy in batteries, so this is a good take on it.

  8. The video was good until the end. Should not use solid wire. Bending the solid wire is going to crack the cells. You need to use a UV stranded wire.
