at 9:00, I think I would have looked for a long straight stick to put behind it. A sheet of plywood would be ideal but anything straight would do in a pinch. It didn't look like you tried very hard.
Now we need to try this with the upgraded Rockpals.
Great test. I have the Rockpal solar array and after a year on my Jackery 500 I get 15 watts an hour. New it was a lot more. I am debating whether I should get a permanent cell on the roof of my car or the Jackery solar cells.
I did get a laugh for where the wild things are. I just ordered a Jackery 1k recently (8/2021), was happy to find this after purchase.
Great product review sold on the Jackery
A nice presentation, to everyone's liking, thank you.
Professor, great video as usual. I cannot find the version 2 of the explorer online. The link is to the standard Jackery.
I have the Jackery 500 & solar saga 100 & really like them they work really well
Thank you from KSA.
How many Kwh can you get on avg each day?
Professor HOBO drops the double fists.
ME: Races for the thumbs up button!
I am a novice as to these type devices. Learning so much from you.
Yeah i just got two of the new solar saga panels. I know what you mean about the new cable thing.
Question..I have the 300 jackery and I'm curious if I can combine my friends 60W solar saga and mine in some way.. Great video thanks for all your detail is helped big time
I love how theyre called solar generator yet they generate NOTHING. They are just a big ass battery bank and nothing more. With that kind of industry BS nomeclature, a 12v car battery hooked to a pwm controller and a solar panel is a solar generator. But your videos are great and my comments were not at you. Just goofy industry terminology.
Very informative. Thank you 😀
Hey, thanks and saw the video bomb, looked like a strange critter! lol.
It's too bad about the Rockpal. I don't care about the compatibility, I like to go white water rafting and scuba diving with my solar panels. I need to charge my phone so I can get doxxed on twitter. Thank God Rockpal warned me that it is not recommended for their 100w folding version as of this date, before I strapped it on the next ROV expedition to the Titanic. Hopefully Rockpile and Jackery will come up with some more…er….um aquatic products. At least it's IPX4 water resistant which should help Prof. Hobo in his Arizona rain forest environment.
Jackery must be listening to your reviews. Just received my Explorer 1000 with the two solar saga panels. The panels have no exposed USB port and no flimsy compartment with the connector. Both now located in the zippered compartment. Very nice. Thanks for helping me with my Zachary sekection.
OHHH JACKERY??? IS THE JACKERY GETTING AN ORGASM WHEN YOU INSERTED THE ADAPTOR INTO THE SOCKET? OH BABY! OH LALA. MORE MORE POWER BABY!
You are confusing Water RESISTANT with Water-repellent and Water-Proof.
Three different things.
This device claims it is water-resistant.
Bummer, i just bought the Jackery SolarSaga 100 v2, but i did not get an Anderson connector, just the stupid proprietary 8mm connector. Now i will have to build myself an adaptor to get the correct connector. But my USB ports are inside the pouch, that is a little nicer than outside due to dust.
I have used the Rockpals with many power stations that have MPPT controllers and all have worked fine (Jackery 240, 300 and the 1000 and the BEAUDENS 166wh). Must be a voltage issue with the Bluetti.
Rockpals actually says that panel should not be hooked up in series or parallel, but the newer ROCKPALS RP082 can be.
What a great job man. Now show everyone how these beat Goal Zero’s over priced, poor support products! 👍🏼
Jackery is waaay overpriced. Better to get individual components to the portable solar setup, cheaper & last longer.
I was having a good time watching this video until you had to start cussing?. I'm sure you thought that was a funny blooper, but it was a turn off.
Thank goodness I saw this!
Thank you for cutting your the chase ! So tired of these lengthy videos showing opening product boxes, music all this other useless footage! So exhausting. You’re videos are awesome!
I chose a TwelSeavan 120W folding panel that is very similar to the Rockpals, but it also adds a USB-C 60W PD output. Would the Raccoon approve? It arrives in a few days. After watching this review I hope mine doesn't have a similar problem with MPPT solar generators, which is what is in my new Jackery 300 (they switched from PWM to MPPT for the new 300 model). It was $80 cheaper than the Jackery panel too, with a 2 year warranty. Worst case, the new Jackery can charge via the built-in 60W USB-C PD port, as it goes in and out now. Fingers crossed…
I died laughing when that lady appeared in the back and you looked back without even saying a word about it. Lolololol
On the up side, if I get a jackery panel….🤔 I already have duct tape. Yup, it'll be water/dust proof.
So what is the difference between Rockpal Rp082 vs sp003?
What are your thoughts on the Jackery brand solar panels (100 watt x 4 that come with the Jackery 1500 solar generator) VS the DOKIO 300 watt panels (would get a set of 2) What do you think of the Dokio brand vs Jackery? Would love your input! THANK YOU!! LOVE YOUR SCIENCE-Y reviews!! =D
Just bought jackery panel. FedEx left it in a puddle, in pouring rain, under the roof overhang. Box so saturated it fell apart. Panel had water inside_ poured out on my floor when I took it out. Anyone know – do I just plug it in and hope for the best? Don’t have a bag of rice this big.
Why don't they have a revolving
Base for the panels? Put a heat sensor on it so it self tracs
Your ok that wasn't a squatch
OMG get some popcorn
Any suggestions on the Jackery 100W vs the Renogy 100W panels? The same or a significant difference
