Solar Panel Systems for Beginners – Pt 1 Basics Of How It Works & How To Set Up

Look no further for the best beginner’s guide to solar panel systems.

In this video, I will show you in layman’s terms how a solar panel system works and how to set one up in 2 different types of systems. This video is intended for beginners so obviously there is a lot more involved than I am explaining but this covers the basics to get started. #solarforbeginners #solarmadeeasy #solarexplained #solarguide

  1. Looking into an off grid set up. Just for back up when power maybe down. Just to provide phone charge and small appliances. What size of panel would you recommend?

  2. For the grid tied aspect, couldn't you have just connected the battery to the solar panel then to the inverter? Would that mean it is not grid tied?

  3. Hi, I now have my 50w solar panel and 50ah sealed battery, 10a charge controller PWM. I've used the same solar wire to charge controller, then charge controller to battery, 4mm2 cable. No fuse on either at present. I measured the load and now understand it comes from the battery ATM, 14.5V with multi meter and charge controller showing 13.01V coming in from panel – cloudy. My question is do I need a fuse near battery and also on positive from load? Do I connect a blade fuse bus bar straight from the battery or load ? cheers.

  4. My question is do the solar panel continue supply power as long as it gets sun light or do the power run out even though sun light is on the solar panel

  5. OK, I'm going out on a limb here,
    but, are you a Mormon?

    my last name, you are.)

  6. Very helpful I'm learning to be able not to be ripped off by companies,,,,,what do you think about generac, n what generator would you suggest for emergency just for tv heaters fridge.?????😇😇😇😇😇😈😈😈

  7. Excellent video content! Forgive me for butting in, I would love your thoughts. Have you ever tried – Schallingora Computer Reconstruction Scheme (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is a smashing one of a kind guide for saving money on your electric bill using this simple technology minus the hard work. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my cousin at last got great success with it.

  8. If the charge controller and fan is 12V, you should connect the batteries in PARALLEL. Series doubles the voltage and will likely burn out the controller and fan. And I am slightly more than a beginner!

  9. I just found your channel. Great stuff. Good luck to you. I've got a lot of vids to get caught up on. Thanks for your hard work.

  10. Should you not attach the charge controller to the battery first and then attach the solar panel to the charge controller? I read somewhere that you can damage the charge controller if you do the reverse ( if the solar panel is collecting).

  11. yes i am beginner , even if i live live sunny climate, i did not recognize living in engulfed in flood of solar energy . but i shall learn more and more starting from your presentation lesson . thanks a lot !

  12. I got lost at the part about Inverter. If the Direct energy is going to the solar panel and transfers the energy to the inverter, does the inverter convert the DC to AC to power the house or another object immediately?

  13. Can you power up a pc that uses a power supply of 600 watts for entire day using this tricks? Especially with the first one…
